Project Manager

Jessie Nguyen

Jessie is a final year Law and Communications student at the University of Technology Sydney who has spent the last year studying, working and falling in love with Taiwan and Southeast Asia as a 2019 New Colombo Plan Scholar. When she’s not desperately trying to improve her Vietnamese and Mandarin language skills, she also loves baking bread, running and listening to podcasts.

Project Officer

Emily Heng

Emily is undertaking her final year of Law and Global Studies at Monash University, with a focus on Global Cultural Literacies and Indonesian Studies. Having lived in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia, she is passionate about youth-led international diplomacy. She is the Operations Officer (Australia) at the Australia-Indonesia Youth Association (AIYA), and represented Malaysia in the 2019 ASEAN-Australia Young Leaders Forum (AAYLF).

Khin Phyu Cyn Kyi

K is an active, adventurous and highly enthusiastic person who is keen to learn new things, meet new people and create bonds.

Communications Officer

Vivian Chen

Vivian is currently a 4th year student studying Commerce (International) at UNSW, majoring in Finance and Chinese. She is passionate about environmental sustainability, innovative design and social impact and you can usually find her curled up with a book or brunching and exploring the city with friends.

Communications Manager

Imelda Meghadihas

Imelda studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English Letters from Indonesia. Her love to youth voices, humanity and international development shown in her thesis on Political Discourse analysis of a youth defector’s speech. Currently developing professional skills as an Affiliate Consultant. Interested in life-long learning about international affairs, project management, other non-linear subjects and various aspects of life.

Design & Communications Specialist

LeeBing Tan

Lee Bing is a 2019 New Colombo Plan Mobility Scholar who recently graduated from a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication at Curtin University. Through the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan Grant, she had the opportunity to experience a semester-long exchange trip to Singapore where she studied design and media studies alongside Mandarin Chinese and undertook a Marketing and Design internship at a non-profit organisation tackling food insecurity.
