AASYP Reset is a virtual innovation challenge inviting young leaders across Australia and ASEAN to collaborate and develop innovative solutions promoting inclusive economic growth through education.
AASYP Reset 2021 aims to:
- Encourage greater knowledge-sharing and network-building
- Foster cross-cultural and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Upskill and support youth in the region to develop and scale ideas that have potential to create long-term impact in their communities
During AASYP Reset, you will get to build personal and professional connections, and develop and showcase your innovation to a diverse public audience with prizes up for grabs.

Network, Upskill & Pitch
AASYP Reset consists of an online skills module, a sprint weekend and a final pitch event, taking place virtually from September until December 2021.
Teams will conduct research, apply design thinking approaches and reimagine new possibilities for the education sector to promote inclusive economic growth in Australia and the ASEAN region.

Registrations are open to all Australian and ASEAN nationals aged 18-29. We are looking for a diverse range of participants who are interested in developing their cross-cultural competencies and are passionate about promoting inclusive economic growth through educational innovations. We strongly encourage recent graduates, current students or young professionals or entrepreneurs in the early stages of your journey to get involved!

No. While we encourage you to register in teams of 2-4 people, you can also register as an individual. We will provide you with networking sessions where you can form your team with other participants.

Not at all! We welcome ideas and projects from participants of all backgrounds, including creative arts and industries, communications and marketing, business, law and international relations, health, sciences, engineering and more.
The networking sessions will run from 23 October – 6 November. We will send you an email to register for the networking sessions. You can choose the time that suits you best.
However, we will only allow 250 registrants for each session.
Not at all! Teams will only need to submit an infographic (poster) to demonstrate their idea by Sunday, 21 November. When submitting, teams will need to complete a short form so that we have your names and contact information to follow up on any issues. Judges will select finalist teams to pitch on Sunday, 12 December.
Yes. All of the sessions will be run online through Zoom, Facebook Group, and YouTube. This will require you to use your device and microphone.
All ideas submitted during the challenge remain the intellectual property of the participants that developed them.
